Richard Toon, Director

Richard’s commitment to staying abreast of industry and product developments, combined with 20 years in the industry, positions him as an expert in minimising financial risk.

He says: “Of course we hope our clients have a trouble free life. But we all know the unexpected does happen and when it does, and it comes to making a claim, it’s very satisfying to see the relief in people when they realise they can cope financially because of the solutions we put in place with them”.

From Monday to Friday Richard can usually be found circumnavigating Taranaki’s mountain to visit his clients at home or at their business premises.

Craig Nolly, Director

Craig enjoys working with people who want to insure what they value.

“Our clients are people who have worked hard for what they have and enjoy. They want to minimise the risk of losing those things. It's a privilege to advise them about the best possible way to do this”, he says. “It’s different for each person. Some people value their income most and want to minimise the risk of loosing it. For others it’s important to have choice and control when it comes to medical needs, or retain an asset for their family”.

Jamie Toon, Adviser

Jamie joined Abacus in 2009 with a passion for working with people and becoming an industry specialist.

Through his personal experience he has seen the effectiveness of personal risk insurance and its ability to secure people financially at their greatest time of need. Jamie is also studying towards a bachelor of management studies at the University of Waikato.

Jamie looks forward to putting insurance solutions in place for people throughout the greater Waikato area.

James Thompson, Adviser

A born and bred Taranaki man, James comes to us from a retail and sales background.

You may be familiar with him from Kingsway Menswear where he worked for over seven years or from Taranaki Daily News, where he has been recently working as an Advertising Consultant.

James has a young family and is looking forward to helping other Taranaki families minimise their risk so they can focus on enjoying life.

Jason Clarke, Adviser

Jason is our newest Adviser. He recently returned to his home town of New Plymouth from studying a Bachelor of Business at Massey University.
