Carolyn JoyceCarolyn Joyce, Company Administrator

Carolyn started with Abacus in 2004 and she enjoys the variety and challenges that each working day throws up. Interacting with clients, ensuring every detail of every client’s policy is taken care of, and chasing up requirements with underwriting companies and clients, is a small slice of what Carolyn does at Abacus.

Over and above those things Carolyn keeps the reporting, administrative, financial and underwriting sides of the business on track.

 

 

 

Claire MartinClaire Martin, Personal Assistant

Claire is the newest member of the Abacus team and is responsible for ensuring the director's days are as efficient as possible.

Claire recently completed a Business and Computing Level 3 course at WITT after working in the UK for 18 months.

 

 

 

Rob GordonRob Gordon, Business Development Manager

Rob joined Abacus in 2009 and a brings a background in sales and marketing.

After growing up in Taranaki Rob moved to Wellington to complete his studies at Victoria University. He was based in Wellington for over nine years and has moved back to Taranaki for a new challenge and to give his kids the great lifestyle the area offers.

Rob is responsible for Abacus Group's sales and marketing strategy and implementation. He is keen to help Abacus Group grow and to build lasting relationships in the Taranaki business community.

 

 

Damian LeuthardDamian Leuthard, Business Support Manager

A born and bred local man, Damian started work at Abacus in 2006. Initially starting in a part time client services role, Damian moved into a full time role at the beginning of 2008 after gaining experience in the wider services that Abacus Group offer.

His understanding of all aspects of the business including: client services, client administration, underwriting, nurturing business relationships and increasing awareness of the company’s services are invaluable in generating new business for Abacus Group.

 

 

Nastassia D'Angelo Nastassia D'Angelo, Client Services

Nastassia is the friendly voice on the phone to potential clients and to our existing clients when it comes time for them to see Craig, Richard or Jamie for a review of their personal risk situation.

Nastassia began her career in South Africa where she worked in the Insurance and Finance industry for seven years. She then worked in banking in New Zealand for a year before joining Abacus Group.
